Federal Guidance Update

CDC & OSHA Update

The CDC recently updated its mask guidance to state that “fully vaccinated people can resume activities without wearing a mask or physically distancing, except where required by federal, state, local, tribal, or territorial laws, rules, and regulations, including local business and workplace guidance.”

CDC guidance also specifically advises fully vaccinated people: “You will still need to follow guidance at your workplace and local businesses.”

OSHA also updated its workplace guidance to state:

OSHA is reviewing the recent CDC guidance and will update our materials on this website accordingly. Until those updates are complete, please refer to the CDC guidance for information on measures appropriate to protect fully vaccinated workers.

New rules from OSHA on COVID-19 workplace safety could be imminent. The agency recently sent COVID-19 emergency temporary standards to the Office of Management and Budget for review.
