On July 19, 2021, the Oregon Occupational Safety and Health Administration issued a Workplace Advisory Memo. In the Memo, Oregon OSHA states that it will no longer enforce the regular cleaning and sanitation requirements in the Rule Addressing COVID-19 Workplace Risks, with the exception of the requirement that employees be provided the supplies and reasonable time necessary to clean and perform hand hygiene. 

Consistent with June 30 revised rulemaking, the Memo reiterates that physical distancing and masks are no longer required in the workplace. Oregon OSHA clarifies that “[t]he remaining rule provisions remain in effect, although they all remain subject to modification during the coming weeks and months.”
